Land preparation

Deep tillage, organic enrichment, and raised beds for optimal root development.

The challenge

Planting into unprepared soil leads to poor establishment. Preparation sets the conditions for everything that grows afterwards.

Benefits

  • ◆Breaks deep subsoil hardpan to allow deep taproot penetration
  • ◆Restores active microbial life with well-cured farmyard manure and bio-fertilizers
  • ◆Improves water holding capacity while providing healthy root zone aeration
  • ◆Suppresses dormant weed seeds through pre-season cultivation cycles

What's included

  • ◆Deep ripping / chiselling to break hardpan layer up to 18-24 inches
  • ◆Primary plowing (disc or mouldboard) to invert soil and expose larvae to sunlight
  • ◆Secondary tillage and rotavation to achieve fine tilth seedbeds or planting basins
  • ◆Incorporation of aged farmyard manure (FYM), press mud, or vermicompost as scoped
  • ◆Application of beneficial microbial inoculants (Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, mycorrhiza)
  • ◆Formation of raised planting ridges, broad beds, or tree planting pits

Scope, timing and pricing are agreed after assessment.
